Automotive Parts/Maintenance Assistant
Job Description
A local fleet department is in need of a Parts/Maintenance Assistant in the automotive shop. This person will be responsible for assisting with organization of the parts department, and will pick-up and deliver various automotive parts around Greenville.
Other general duties will consist of assisting mechanics with tools, holding and/or lifting, delivering various parts to shop bays, and occasional cleaning. Heavy lifting is a must in this role.
Candidates at most must be able to lift up to 50-100 lbs., more frequently 10-25 lbs., and up to 10 lbs. constantly. The ability to stand, crouch and bend for periods of time are required as well.
The duration of this assignment is unknown at this time but expected to be a long-term temporary need, and could possibly transition into something permanent.
The work schedule is Monday-Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm with a 30-minute lunch and occasional opportunities for overtime.
Job Requirements
- Heavy lifting: 10-100 lbs.
- Capable of standing, crouching, bending
- Valid NC Driver's License
- Ability to pass a pre employment drug screen
- Ability to pass a pre employment background check
