Behavioral Health Managed Care Coordinator

Contract position lasting through December 31, 2024, with the possibility of an extension.
**Coordinators will work remotely but must reside within the catchment area in North Carolina.**
Job Summary:
Managed Care Coordinators will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals eligible for the Innovations Waiver by managing the Registry of Unmet Needs (RUN). This position involves coordinating, reviewing, and processing applications, providing essential support to applicants, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and maintain a Registry and waitlist for individuals in the catchment area requesting I/DD state-funded services.
- Conduct thorough reviews of applicant lists to determine potential eligibility.
- Provide comprehensive education and support to individuals and families regarding the RUN process, available resources, and services.
- Assist members in gathering necessary clinical information and initiating Medicaid or disability determination processes.
- Review psychological evaluations and other clinical documentation for completeness and required components.
- Support members, families, or Legal Representatives in obtaining essential clinical information.
- Provide guidance on disability determination and Medicaid processes.
- Conduct various outreach activities to RUN list members.
- Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with Managed Care Organizations (MCO) and state regulations.
- Contribute to ongoing projects as assigned, including independent tasks.
- Generate project status reports and updates using dashboards and Smartsheet.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Minimum associate degree in a Human Services related field.
- Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience with the I/DD population.

Additional Information
Pre-employment CBC and Drug Screen required.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
