A high-profile Greenville, NC business is seeking a personable, temporary Payment Processing Specialist to join their team.
While job responsibilities include (but are not limited to) accurately accepting and posting payments, as well as balancing daily collections, the primary responsibility will be to provide the highest level of customer service possible in conjunction with all other responsibilities.
This will be a temporary position estimated to last a year. Set schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
All essential functions of the job are as follows:
- Routine accounting work processing the receipt of customer payments via mail and in person
- Posting of cash, check and money order receipts utilizing software
- Individually responsible for the receipt and safekeeping of all cash, check and money order payments
- Examine currency to detect counterfeit
- Directly provide account services to customers through various methods: face to face, over the phone and via e-mail responding to account and payment inquiries and adjustments
- Prepare and reconcile daily deposits
- Balance daily collections at beginning and end of shifts
- Basic clerical work including, but not limited to, typing, filing and organizing, record keeping, basic mathematics and accounting techniques
- Proficient use of a computer and a 10-key adding machine
- Secure, transport and reconcile cash pick-ups from financial service representatives
- Process internal non-customer payments
- Provide exceptional individualized customer service based on customer needs while working effectively under pressure and with frequent interruptions
- Maintains confidentiality of customer and account information
- Function as part of a team to accomplish all job related duties
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others in order to foster a positive work environment
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements
*Please note that part of the pre-screening process will include a credit check for consideration.
- Must have at least 2 years of corporate cash handling experience including exceptional customer service.
- Completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening required.
