Job Description

Dynamic accounting firm committed to providing exceptional services to their clients is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team!

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support:
    • Assist with annual firm meetings, including preparation and quality control.
    • Participate in training on quarterly billing procedures.
    • Contribute to bi-annual background check processes.
    • Aid in managing Continuing Professional Education (CPE) kits and annual plans.
  • Financial Record Keeping:
    • Maintain and update firm's QuickBooks software:
      • Enter journal entries.
      • Review accounts payable and receivable.
      • Compare current and prior year invoices.
      • Track credit card expenses.
      • Match journal entries.
    • Assist with QuickBooks client entry, bookkeeping, and documentation.
  • Operational Tasks:
    • Run errands as needed, including post office visits, client office deliveries, and banking.
    • Reconcile timeslips and complete time budgets.
    • Reconcile FedEx statements bi-weekly.
    • Enter timeslips, update mileage logs, and maintain agendas.
  • Monthly Duties:
    • Reconcile PTO and generate productivity reports.
    • Prepare and send monthly client billings.
    • Manage continuing education: reconciliation, scheduling, and certificate downloads.
    • Send birthday and anniversary cards.
    • Scan and file client project documents.
    • Reconcile invoices.
    • Review and order firm supplies as needed.
    • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Quarterly Tasks:
    • Prepare and send quarterly client billings.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Assist with computer setup as needed.
    • Provide QuickBooks entry and potential bookkeeping services for clients.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Information

Full-time position, however firm could have some flexibility to consider 30 hours per week.

Selected candidates should be prepared for assessments as part of the interview process.
