Large medical facility is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Technician to join their accounting department.  This role will be responsible for the daily processing, data entry, and electronic filing of vendor invoices.  This person will play a key part in ensuring financial records are accurate and up-to-date, supporting the month-end closing process, and maintaining organized digital archives.

Essential Job Functions

• Voucher Creation: Generate vouchers for vendor invoices and credit memos utilizing the ERP system.
• Document Management: Scan, arrange, and import all incoming vendor invoices into the ImageNow/OnBase software system; perform electronic filing simultaneously with voucher entry.
• Month-End Preparation: Assist in preparing month-end accruals for any invoices not yet captured in the system to ensure reporting accuracy.
• Journal Entries: Create, import, scan, and link journal entries on a monthly basis for vendor-related transactions.
• Mail & Distribution: Open and distribute incoming physical mail daily and prepare outgoing payments for mailing.
• P-Card Oversight: Maintain and organize P-card receipts and statements on a monthly basis.

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• 1–2 years of Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume department.
• Proficiency in Windows-based software and basic data entry.
• Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft and ImageNow/OnBase (or similar ERP/imaging systems) is preferred.
