Staff Accountant
Job Description
A leading regional office is seeking a skilled and adaptable Staff Accountant for a Direct Hire opportunity within a centralized corporate finance department.
You will help manage core financial operations and high-volume reconciliations, proving your technical expertise and cultural fit for seamless conversion into a permanent, full-time role.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for corporate entities in accordance with GAAP.
- General Ledger & Intercompany Transactions: Manage high-volume journal entries, corporate bank reconciliations, and complex intercompany account balancing.
- Internal Controls & Compliance: Adhere to and enforce robust internal controls and standardized accounting procedures across multiple business units.
- Data Optimization: Utilize advanced spreadsheet functions to manipulate, audit, and analyze large volumes of raw financial data.
- Audit Preparation: Assist corporate finance teams with documentation and schedules for internal and external audits.

Job Requirements
Role Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive corporate accounting experience, ideally within a large organization or high-volume environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Technical Skills (Upper-Level Excel): Advanced, expert-level proficiency in MS Excel is required. Candidates must be fluent in complex data manipulation, including advanced formulas
- ERP Experience: Hands-on experience with enterprise-level ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Workday) would be beneficial, but not required.
Additional Information
Compensation:
Starting at $60,000 (converted to an equivalent hourly rate)
CBC, Drug Screen and Credit Check required as part of the pre-employment screening.
