We are partnering with a local medical facility in Kinston, NC who is seeking a highly motivated and organized Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) to join their growing team.

This is an elect-to-hire position, offering the potential to transition to a permanent role with a comprehensive benefits package upon successful completion of the probationary period.

$15.00/hour

Responsibilities:

• Handle patient referrals and obtain Protected Health Information (PHI) following HIPAA regulations
• Validate and approve prescription refills according to physician orders
• Administer injections and perform other clinical duties as directed by the healthcare provider
• Assist with scheduling and rescheduling appointments
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient exams
• Record patient medical history
• Clean and sterilize medical equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• A.A.S. degree in Medical Assisting is mandatory
• Certification in medical assisting is mandatory
• Prior experience working in family medicine is a plus
• Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
• Must be compliant with all required immunizations
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening

- Certified Medical Assistant with AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants); Registered Medical Assistant with ARMA (American Registry of Medical Assistants)
- CPR certification preferred or certification attained within the first 6 months of employment
