Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Industrial and Commercial HVAC Technician to join a growing facilities maintenance team. If you excel at diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining large-scale heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

As an Industrial and Commercial HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of HVAC/R equipment in large-scale settings, including:

  • Performing scheduled preventive maintenance on industrial and commercial HVAC/R systems, including chillers, cooling towers, boilers, large AHUs, VAV systems, and specialized refrigeration units.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, and control system issues (e.g., PLCs, DDC controls, pneumatic systems).
  • Executing timely and efficient repairs on equipment.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Documenting all work performed, including parts used, time spent, and system performance data.
  • Adhering to all company and client safety protocols and industry regulations.
  • Providing excellent customer service and clear communication with site management.
  • Participating in an on-call rotation for emergency service outside of normal business hours.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience as an HVAC Technician working specifically on industrial and commercial systems (e.g., 25+ ton units, chillers, boilers).
  • EPA Certification (Universal preferred)
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical components (motors, contactors, relays) and control circuits
  • Proven experience with building automation systems (BAS) and DDC controls (e.g., Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Siemens).
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions and environments.

Additional Information

Salary - Based on experience

Work schedule will be discussed.    On-call will be required 1 - 2 weeks/month.
