Specialty practice in Greenville, NC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Medical Assistant to join their practice. This dual role combines clinical patient care with team leadership responsibilities, offering the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys both aspects of healthcare.

Responsibilities:

• Clinical:
• Assist provider with patient care during clinical days (M,W,F)
• Perform various clinical tasks, including phlebotomy and casting
• Prepare patients for surgery, including obtaining health history, scheduling appointments, and providing post-operative follow-up care
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Team Lead:
• Recruit, select, orient, and train new medical assistants
• Oversee daily operations of the medical assistant team
• Address staff concerns and maintain a positive, collaborative work environment
• Ensure adherence to all practice policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Education: Accredited Medical Assistant Program
• Experience:
• Preferred: 15 years as a Medical Assistant, 3 years as a Manager (6 years of lead experience can be substituted for some management experience)
• Minimum: 5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant with proven leadership qualities
• License: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (CPR)
• Must-Have Skills:
• Phlebotomy and casting experience
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to motivate and inspire others
• Commitment to providing exceptional patient care
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Team player with a positive attitude
