Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Workforce Management (WFM) Coordinator to join a dynamic healthcare system-wide team. This position will work with management and executive staff, across all clinical and non-clinical departments system-wide, to meet the business requirements to effectively manage labor resources, labor costs, and labor productivity while enhancing operations that includes identifying/eliminating waste. Under the direct supervision, will participate in assessing, developing/ implementing, and evaluating innovative staffing and operational solutions/actionable insights that meets the Strategic Plan, as well as patient care needs.
Serves as the liaison between clients and the choice vendor of electronic workforce management system to ensure effective communication and adoption of technology that enhance operations of each unit/department. Supports business projects through the development life cycle and provides ongoing assessment and improvements to meet operational needs/business goals/technology advances and best practice outcomes.
Essential Job Functions
1. Provides and creates education:
- Provide initial and ongoing education for all end users of WFM software programs. Function as preceptor for the department. Develops/updates standard written education materials for projects/programs.
- Develop/implement eLive educational classrooms and/or standard classroom settings. Partners with educational resources through the client company. Develop/coaches end user expertise.
2. Serves as internal technological applications product expert:
- Provides technical and application support services for all end users. Communicates as system liaison between client and vendor of electronic workforce solutions to resolve system issues and/or adjust configurations. Develops application strategies for adoption of electronic solutions.
- Provides testing and resolution for software integration's. Coordinates WFM software upgrades and integration's with vendor and client company.
- Provides 24 hour call for support.
3. Data Analysis/Process Improvement:
- Gathers and trends data for measurement of outcomes. Produces/tracks trending reports. Conducts ongoing audits for all units/departments for best practice status.
- Utilizes process improvement strategies in development/implementation and evaluation of action plans. Provides ongoing coaching for scheduling labor resources and maximizing productivity for positive objectives. Contributes to the identification of Workforce opportunities.
4. Project Management:
- Responsible for implementing WFM electronic solutions for clients. Consults with clients to define WFM solutions that meet organizational objectives. Supports WFM projects throughout the development life cycle. Provides input in testing initiatives. Establishes partnerships with stockholders. Reinforces communication on project decisions/priorities to stockholders. Collaborates with leaders and related third parties for configuration/build processes. Monitors adoption and hard wiring of WFM solutions into daily practice. Facilitates appropriate application of client company's incentive plan.
Job Requirements
Minimum Position Requirements:
- Associates degree or higher is required - Business, or Health Care related field required.
- Additional experience in leadership and financial areas preferred.
- Competency with excel and trending data required.
- Experience with electronic staffing solutions preferred but not required.
- Possesses and understanding of technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise performance.
- Possesses knowledge and experience in process improvement.
- One to three years experience with coordination and implementation of computer technology software programs, teaching of computer technology, and support of software applications required.
- Additional experience in leadership and financial areas preferred.
- May substitute a 2 year in Computer Science or related technology with an addition two years of related experience
Additional Information
Assist with managing Flexwork electronic scheduling system while the department focuses on learning and rolling out a new system.
Full-time schedule: 40 hours per week
Monday – Friday (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
Length of contract assignment is expected to be short-term.
