If you have knowledge of housing programs and have also worked with populations from different socioeconomic backgrounds, you may be the right candidate for a 12-month contract position working in Granville, Vance, Franklin, Warren, Halifax, Northampton, Nash, Edgecombe, Wilson, Greene, Wayne, Lenoir, Duplin and Sampson counties.

The position will involve assisting in streamlining the housing process for qualified applicants in addition to recruiting community members and agencies regarding housing programs/resources. Housing Coordinator will assist with referring appropriate applicants to be assessed for various housing resources and maintain the coordinated entry wait list throughout the regions. Candidates need to be computer savvy, as this position will be responsible for entering, processing, analyzing, and sharing data. Qualified candidates should be able to work with a diverse group of people including community agencies and partners. Excellent organizational skills are a must.

Qualified candidates MUST have previous experience with housing navigation, community outreach and working directly with people experiencing homelessness.  A minimum of an associate’s degree is required for consideration, a bachelor’s degree is preferred.  

Mostly a remote position, with some fieldwork in the designated counties so person must have a valid NC driver’s license and reside in a county noted above.

This is a full-time, contract position, and no benefits will be applicable. Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
