Shop Cleaner (Fabrication)

Are you a detail-oriented individual who enjoys working with your hands and takes pride in maintaining a professional environment? Our client is looking for a reliable Shop Cleaner to join their team.

In this role, you will be the backbone of our shop’s efficiency, ensuring our rental fleet is pristine and our workspace remains safe and organized. You will work independently.

Key Responsibilities

As a Shop Cleaner, your day-to-day will involve a mix of maintenance, cleaning, and operational support:

• Fleet Maintenance: Wash and thoroughly clean all equipment and trailers to meet strict health code regulations and company standards.
• Shop Stewardship: Maintain clean exterior areas, including the trailer yard and pallet holding areas. Keep the grounds free of debris/weeds and ensure pallets are stacked neatly.
• Safety & Organization: Sweep floors to prevent hazards, manage supply inventory, and clean shop A/C filters.
• Vehicle Care: Clean shop vehicles and perform basic fluid/safety checks (oil, fuel, tire pressure, and battery water levels).
• Operational Support: Act as a spotter for moving heavy equipment, assist with trailer repairs, and help with loading/unloading and check-in/out documentation.

Qualifications

• Age: Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to follow complex instructions, and a self-starter attitude.
• Safety-Minded: Ability to understand MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) and consistently use proper PPE.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry 50 pounds and navigate a physically demanding environment.

This is a hands-on CLEANING role based in a warehouse and outdoor setting.

You should be comfortable with:

• Working in fluctuating temperatures (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
• Environments that may be loud, wet, dusty, greasy, or slippery.
• Physical tasks such as climbing ladders, stepping in/out of trailers, crawling in tight spaces, and scrubbing/scraping.
• Operating hand tools and temperature-regulated power washers.
