Medical Customer Care Specialist | Part-Time
Job Description
A trusted community company that offers a wide range of services is seeking a motivated and compassionate Customer Care Specialist to join their team. In this role, the person will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients, processing paperwork for new referrals and prior authorizations, providing information and demonstrate proper use of medical products and devices, and assist with inventory management.
PART TIME ONLY - Monday/Wednesday/Friday - 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Represent company in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with clients/patients.
- Coordinate clients' referrals to the company to the appropriate individuals.
- Gather client/patient information necessary to provide equipment services.
- Coordinate client information and process paperwork for billing.
- Establish and maintain client records.
- Perform billing to insurance companies, contracts, other third-party payors, and customers for all products and services delivered.
- Maintain accurate billing records.
- Prepare and secure certificates of medical necessity.
- Answer client questions regarding products and services.
- Assist with inventory management of supplies.
- Maintain knowledge of insurance codes and billing procedures.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Experience with medical billing and/or insurance a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and highly motivated.

This is a temporary position - length of the assignment is unknown.
