Job Description
A local office is seeking a Revenue Collections Clerk/Customer Service Agent which could result in a permanent placement for the right person, though at this time it is expected to be temporary. Applicants must have prior collections experience as this is not an entry level position. Ideal applicants will also need to be proficient in Microsoft Suite - Outlook, Excel and Word - and have exceptional customer service skills. Cash handling will be required in this role as you will be accepting fees and payments from the public.
If you have ever worked in a department issuing "parking permits" or permits (i.e. can understand qualifying circumstances for permits), then this would be a plus.
This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
Job Requirements
- Prior collections experience
- Prior customer service experience
- Prior cash handling experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen
Additional Information
This position is currently expected to be temporary and may last through the end of the year. If the opportunity is presented, this could become a permanent position for the right candidate.
