About the Role:

As a Water Distribution Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of the water distribution system. Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing repairs and preventative maintenance on water lines.
• Installing water taps.
• Handling emergency and routine repairs.
• Conducting fire hydrant flushing and maintenance.
• Locating, maintaining, and repairing water lines.
• Completing work and service orders.
• Connecting and disconnecting services.

Ideal Candidate:

Seeking a motivated individual with a strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn. While a Water Distribution Certification is preferred, this client is willing to consider bringing on a trainee! Experience in maintenance work is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Starting salary: $15.00/hour+, based on experience.
• Potential for permanent placement.

 Job Requirements:

• Coursework in a mechanical or plumbing trade is required.
• Prior experience in pumping and/or piping maintenance is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds (with assistance).
• Ability to bend, stoop, push, and pull.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Grade C Distribution certification within 24 months of employment.
• Valid North Carolina driver's license is required.
